In the 17th century,a mystery child was born in 1600 and his name was okomfo anokye.It was said that,during the time of his birth,he was born with a short white tail of a cow (bodua) in his right hand and his left hand was clingy tight and it was believed to be a gift from the gods.
In his youthful age,he became a priest and performed many wonders such as the following...

• He pushed a sword into the earth and till date no man nor machine has been able to pull it up-
• He climbed a palm tree with his bare foot and left his footmarks on the tree-
• He carved the Oware game which he invented in a large rock with his bare fingers-
• He danced his heart out till he chanted out a golden stool from the skies which landed on the laps of the then late king OSEI tutu I-
• He planted and harvested cassava on the same day-
  Okomfo anokye was believed to be a god himself.

These miracles performed by okomfo Anokye currently serves as a tourist site in Ghana.!
