THE FATE OF THE BLACK CONTINENT

in #africa6 years ago

The future of the Black continent, my lovely Nigeria as a case study.

Africa, who will save thee from the grave you're digging? Who'll fill it with sands, the grave of the future generation?
The unborn children will curse this generation because of the pit we're currently digging for them.

Let's analyze things together.
The continent spend little on technological developments.
The time is here and it's happening already when technology will make our mineral resources useless.
Can you remember the words of Bill gate when he came to Nigeria? He told the government to INVEST IN HER PEOPLE.

This is the period where the wealth of nations are being transferred to individuals.

I repeat: WEALTH OF NATIONS ARE BEING TRANSFERRED TO INDIVIDUALS.

If your nation is not a beneficiary of the individual's tax, it's on the losing end.

Across the world, we pay Google while the USA makes the law that governs Google. Hmmm.
She(USA) takes the tax. We pay, the rich nation collects.

I just used Google as a case study, the same goes with Apple, Microsoft, Facebook and so on.

That's for the present, our government sees nothing wrong with this(the non development of her citizens) because the government can't foresee/has no plan for the future, they only think about the next election, nothing else.

Now, let me explain what lies ahead, imagine, we woke up one day and we realize the Nigeria petroleum is next to useless.

No, I'm not talking about a 30% reduction in the demand for our oil, I mean over 70% fall in demand.

Imagine Elon Musk taking over the wealth of our nation.
His solar and electric system ruling the world, oil falling in price with no hope of rising again.

Millions of people will go poor in Nigeria, our money is now in the hands of Elon Musk and the USA will have her share(host government)
Hmmm.
Can you see Mark 4:25 "Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them."

This is just a single example.
The rate of technology is so high that it's difficult to predict what is to come meaning that, it's most likely it'll be worse than I've explained.

Then, Nigeria will go into a very big recession.

Layoff will be imminent, the citizens will blame the govt of the day, election will be approaching, the govt will try to save its name...
Look at what the reaction will be:
Government will borrow more money to save the mess and pay staff.

Government will increase minimum wage in order to win the election (a very bad step)

Remember recession won't stop a corrupt-minded person from embezzling public funds meaning some of the borrowed funds will be embezzled (so funny right? but that's the reality)

And the government will save the situation but it'll only last for a while.

I know we know the effect of embezzling public funds on the nation, I'll only explain the effects of the second step which is:
"Increment of minimum wage"
At this point, we have to be realistic, whether you support it or not, a general increment of salary will not help the nation especially when the increment is coming from a borrowed fund.
The aim shouldn't be to have more money, but to make the little money have good value.

These are the reason:

  1. The nation will be in more debt(which the masses will surely be the ones to pay back and it'll cause devaluation)

  2. The citizens won't feel the increment of salary since it's a general increment, it'll cause a spike in the price of things.

  3. It'll increase the rate of inflation.

In the long run, we'll be in more debt(another problem for the "then future generation", our money devalued and there will be little or no impact on the citizens).

As if that's not enough, the government will increase tax in order to increase revenue, then the negative side of that'll set in, less companies will be willing to come in and those already in will be willing to move out because of the cost of producing, they'll prefer to move to the rich nations and transport their goods here(since the transportation will be done in mass, it'll still make more sense to them.)

Hmmm.

Take a deep breathe here, can you see what I'm seeing?
Increase in unemployment.
The issue will be worse than what you may be thinking because population will keep increasing sporadically(how is the nation controlling population?)
As we know, money must be in politics and to keep the nation running, so the govt will have no choice than to keep taxing the citizens for everything (as the government of Uganda tax her citizens on social media, expect more of this from other African nations)

Hmmm.
States will hardly be able to pay her workers and we'll depend on more aids from the rich nations.

They'll keep supplying the aids but it won't be sufficient to address the issue because the root of the problem has not been addressed.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO SAVE OURSELVES?
AS A COUNTRY, we need to take technology serious and follow the words of Gates(invest in the people) because the people will be the ones to save nation.

Another thing is that: govt should try as much as possible to partner with private sectors.
It's a weakness here in Africa that workers don't take govt work serious, let the govt partner with good private companies(not a sole-government business) and I believe we'll see better results.

AS AN INDIVIDUAL:
Ask yourself "what if nothing is done and these things become real?"
You have to plan ahead.
What plan have you made for yourself and generation?
You have to take responsibility.
I posted something on May 15, 2016 on my Facebook status and it's still as true today as it was then...this is it:
"Seeing the way the known government of this time are treating our parents, I think it's stupidity to start planning on how to work for the unknown government of the future."

Read it again and think over it...
Think of how you can create solutions instead of looking.

Plan ahead.

N.B:
This is not a bad prophecy but what will inevitably happen should Africa continue like this.

From your boy, Abidakun Taye Nife.
Shalom! Shalom!! Shalom!!!
