AFL End of Season Ladder Prediction (Round 8)
I've decided to include the full ladder as opposed to just restricting it to the top 8.
This week:
- Geelong
- Collingwood
- GWS
- Richmond
- Melbourne
- Essendon
- West Coast
- Adelaide
- Fremantle
- Port Adelaide
- Brisbane
- Hawthorn
- St Kilda
- Western Bulldogs
- Carlton
- Sydney
- North Melbourne
- Gold Coast
The differences this week:
I had Melbourne down as a loss, and Essendon down as a win (I think i changed my tip on this game maybe 3-4 times). Both very narrow margins which shows just how easily things can change.
I also expected Port Adelaide to get over the Crows and that didn't go my way. I've now gone and changed my pick for the Round 16 derby to the crows instead, and as a result, Adelaide jumps into the 8 in Port's place. As it stands, Adelaide is probably looking better.
On a side note, I've picked the eagles this week - but i have this sneaking suspicion that Melbourne are a chance to redeem themselves and straighten up their season earlier than expected. If they do it'll be huge for them. But having said that, it's a true test for Melbourne as to whether they have the character to put the adversity of the preliminary final behind them, and history has shown that they don't really have the character.
Don't get me started on that Sydney game. It took year off my life expectancy and I'm still fired up about the whole goalpost incident
lol.. it takes a courageous umpire to make that call after the siren - and if he's courageous then he's probably not an umpire to begin with :D
I reckon that's a pretty fair assessment. Even so, it was handled atrociously across the board by the AFL
definitely.
