It was on the longish side but we got there in the end and there were some fantastic late bargains had.

Here is a recap of some of the best picks and the strangest!

Best Bargains:

Rockliffe at 18 to Brockies Superstars – I am thinking Rocky’s bad game on the weekend saw him slide

Buddy Franklin at 31 to DBLSTR Wow! He kicks 8 goals on the weekend and still slides to 31. Great get Chris

Coniglio at 35 to Playing for Draft Picks – Scored in the 140s on the weekend and looks set for a huge year

Cripps at 40 to Medhurst Minions – 130 on the weekend and also looks set for a big year

Others that caught the eye -

Billings at 41 – I Wear Footy Pyjamas
Greene at 43 – Little Old Lady
Lloyd at 44 – Cunning Stunts is Back Again
The Bont at 54! Well done Little Old Lady
Heeney at 56 – another bargain for I Wear Footy Pyjamas
Whitfield at 62 – Playing for Draft Picks
Seb Ross at 64 for Victor
R Gray at 81 for Meow

And maybe the biggest steal of the night –

Fyfe at 82 to Brockies Superstars

On the other side of the Coin there were some stranger picks -

Gary Ablett at pick 2 was very brave by DBLSTR given his injury history the last couple of years and his age.
However 39 disposals on the weekend showed the little master has lost none of his ability and if he stays healthy this pick could pay off big time.

The Mighty Fitzroy Lions showed how much he really likes his Lions players when he selected young star J Berry at 4!
In a couple of years from now I am tipping that pick wouldn't look too silly but for 2018 we can safely put that down to an auto select gone wrong since his 2 minutes timed out on him

There was another oh no moment at Pick 25 when Medhurst's Minions timer ran out and he was the victim of an Auto Pick disaster that selected the injured Docherty.

Others to raise eyebrows were:

Barlow at 47 for Brockies Superstars
Townsend at 90 for Kulate
Wells at 95 for DBLSTR
Kerridge at 124 for Nader

Time will tell on those selections and if they were stokes of genius :)
