"The Weekend Wash-Up" AFL Fantasy Draft Review + Summary!
Hi Everyone,
Round 19 is complete and so is the home and away season for 2018.
Finals next week and let’s take a look at the weekend results before we check out our Finalists.
Round 19 Results:
I managed to keep my (@dahmsy79) unbeaten record intact by defeating fellow host Lockout (@o07) 1421 – 1205.
Medhurst Minions faced a much win game to keep his spot in the 8 and play finals.
He unfortunately found himself with a difficult match up against the 3rd placed Piston-Broke but the Minions dug deep to win a thriller 1419 – 1402.
The Minions would be thankful for that Seedsman hamstring that hurt the Pistons!
I Wear Footy Pajamas needed to win his last game and make up the .22 % difference he was behind Playing for Draft Picks.
The Pajamas 1259 – 1119 convincing win turned out to be enough after the Picks had a close one.
The Pajamas finished in 4th spot.
The Steemit Huskies was clinging to 8th spot heading into the last round and with a percentage under 100 only a win was going to be enough to hold his spot.
To make matters worse the Huskies had some injury problems heading into the game but it did not matter in the end as the Huskies enjoyed a comfortable 1286 – 1137 victory to book his Finals ticket.
Lions4Life was outside of the 8 heading into the Final round so needed to win and hope other results went his way.
Lions4Life fulfilled his end of the bargain by defeating DBLSTR 1313 – 1145 but wins to the Minions & Huskies ensure the best he could finish was 9th.
Playing for Draft Picks needed to win to protect her Top 4 spot and needed to win by enough to keep the Pajamas at bay given she only had a slender .22% lead.
Unfortunately for the Picks, Brockies Superstars was a stubborn opponent and put up a lot of resistance by scoring a 1405.
The Picks 1456 was enough to win the match but not enough to hold 4th spot on the ladder.
The Mighty Fitzroy Lions needed a huge win over Kulate and needed to get lucky with other results if he was to make the 8.
The Lions got neither as could only manage a 1246 – 1158 victory and other results did not pan out for the Lions either.
Little Old Lady finished his season in style and completely wrecked Mmeow’s Finals chances by winning 1390 – 1177.
As it turned a win would not of been enough for Mmeow given other results.
So the Final 8 after the Home and Away Season looks like this:
