Why newbies struggle to make it on steemit.
Who are the newbies and who are the minnows?
I personally find it hard to differentiate the two categories. But a what I know is that newbies are those who have just joined the platform and are yet to make it on steemit. Where as minnows is a level to those who have made something out of steemit and have experienced some lot of privileges of the platform.
There are different levels on steemit of which each one reaches, he or she is awarded a badge representing his efforts on the platform. Some of her levels I know include....... plankton, minnows, orctan, dolphin, whales. Of which the higher the level, the higher your influence on the platform.
Now we talk about newbies.
As I said, these people, since they are new on the platform, they find it hard to catch up and lease with those already on the platform. Some might make a post and it gains zero vote. By this, some will end up quiting the network which is not good coz we need more people on the platform. This is because, the more the people, the higher the coin will b used and hence the higher the price.
A question is posed....... Why is this so???
Some of these newbies aren't good at blogging, writing attractive posts that can gain them followers to their contents hence they as soon as writing their intro posts, they start to write half or one paragraph and then sit back to wait for votes. This is total trash.................
Nobody will update for a three to ten line blog that contains nothing inspirational or attractive to the readers.
But the blame also goes to those who introduce the steemit idea to them. Some aren't given prior knowledge about the DO's and the DON'Ts of the platform. This is why many newbies are ever caught up by @cheetah. Once they try to copy and paste blogs or lines from different sites on the Internet into steemit. The platform doesn't discourage sharing info from other sites so long as you don't copy the text but instead copy and paste the link. With this, cheetah will never catch you red handed.
Note.
As soon as you join the platform, make your introduction post talking about yourself and what your future prospects on the platform. After that, then look around and go through the posts that you find interesting on the platform and comment on them. This will increase your bond hence gaining more followers on your wall.
#NB
Don't just comment anyhow, read and analyse a specific blog or post and then comment wisely as silly comments might be flagged and down voted hence losing the reputation.
Infact blogging is hard, it's not like just posting anything on Facebook. And most people especially here in Africa are not used to writing a lot of stuff right from school.
A happy stay @nexilly
