Masjid Agung Sultan Hasanudin
Located in the Banten sub-district, Kasemen sub-district, Serang City, the Great Banten Old Mosque was established during the reign of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin (1552-1570) in 1556. Maulana Hasanuddin was the first king to rule Banten with an Islamic government style and was named Panembahan Surosowan. When he became the first king of the Banten kingdom in 1552, Maulana Hasanuddin later built the Great Mosque. His power that has the character of Islam stretches from Banten, Jayakarta, Karawang, Lampung, Indrapura to Solebar at that time. Maulana Hasanuddin died in 1570 and was replaced by Maulana Yusuf. In the mosque complex, there is a tower with a height of 24 meters with a circle of 20 meters. The architect of the construction of this mosque was Lucas Cardeel during the reign of Sultan Haji (1672-1687). During the time of the Sultan of Hajj also built Tiamah or a square building with Dutch architecture in the south. In this Tiamah building he said was often used as a place of deliberation.
