My First College Trip to Kodaikanal

Okay So i am not kind of a guy who would go to a trip ..although friends or family.I am kind of introvert and most of the times i am at my laptop playing pc games or just checking out new tech videos on Youtube.

So this January 2017.. yes! i am now in 4th year and my first college trip with my friends was in my 6th semester :P.

So i study in Vellore,So there we planned for a trip to Kodaikanal.

Kodaikanal is a hill town in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It’s set in an area of granite cliffs, forested valleys, lakes, waterfalls and grassy hills. At 2,000 meters above sea level, the town centers around man-made, star-shaped Kodaikanal Lake, bordered by evergreen forest. Rowing boats can be hired, and hikers and cyclists follow the 5k Lake Road path around the shore.

Yes Technically you can say that its a hill station more of like nainital and all. But the place is really amazing.

What made my trip so adventurous?

• We didn't took any cab or taxi to visit falls or distant places (we hiked mountains ourselves) and yes we missed out 4 spots to visit :P
• it was an unplanned trip
• a group of 10 people were there. so you can think of all of the excitement
• all school mates! (hell yeah!)

There are many places to go there .. there are 9 places to go which are best! we were on a 4 day trip. (1 day whole wasted in returning and going time..)

This place can be reached from chennai through AC bus. No airport is there. Temperature is quiet low.
But in morning you can see a good amount of sunlight reaching the surface of this city.
Food would be mostly south indian.!

But Outlets like Subway,Dominoes Pizza are also there.Dont try Non veg there as its not that of good quality, and as i am a Non vegetarian thus it for just okey okey experience for the food!

and yes Night Walks! If you ever go to this place you just roam around the lakes at night! it would be perfect!

Also, If you go there do buy home made chocolates! they are so delicious and they give you in variety of flavours!

Thus this trip ended at an awesome note and yes again in the same semester i went to another trip but with different group of friends.. If you want i would love to write about that too! (it was planned one! ! but it got messed up even though!)IMG_4089.JPG
