BTC still needs to prove its reliability specially regarding transaction fees. For now, it doesn't do extremely well as expected.
Other coins, way less in the light of the show, have better fees, sometime nearly zero with fastest block times and better scalability.

But still, BTC is the king, as Apple and Facebook. It represents the brand, the window of our crypto world to the mass.
