TOPIC: FAITH IN SPITE OF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCE (2).
HABAKKUK 2:3; LUKE 1:5-13,36-38.
The lives of Zechariah and Elizabeth is a study in unwavering faith and we will still look at a few more lessons to learn from their lives. Their story teaches us that:
With God, nothing is too late.
With God, nothing is too hard.
As a child of God, the lessons you learn in the School of the Spirit make you a master in life. This is why you should always make your presence and attendance in the Kingdom worthwhile. Don’t be one of the people that go to church only on Sundays, enjoy the fanfare and never really settle down for kingdom education. It is unbelievers that need preaching, believers need teaching in order to be effective in their walk with God.
Zechariah’s physical condition did not affect his obedience to God (verse 8). He was still serving God faithfully, diligently, and precisely. Believers who allow events in their physical lives to affect their relationship with God usually don't last in the kingdom. I challenge you not to be that kind of Christian. God is not good (or bad) because something good (or bad) happened to you. He is eternally faithful and the sooner you embrace His faithfulness, in spite of your circumstance, the more stable you become in your faith.
I never counsel a couple who have been waiting for a long time to get pregnant, to adopt a baby. My job is to tell them to keep believing in God because I have seen God show up for others. I have received five different testimonies from such couples this year. A particular couple just had their baby after ten years of waiting. Yours may not be a case of barrenness but whatever it is, God will come through for you if you stay in faith in spite of your circumstance.
PRAYER: Lord, I believe You are faithful, You have never failed and You will not start with me. I will stay in faith regardless of my circumstance in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Bible in a year: 2 Kings 22:3-23:30, Acts 21:37-22:16, Psalm 1:1-6, Proverbs 18:11-12
