Over 28k?!?! That is living.
I always wondered whether biking would produce huge results in actifit because of the distance covered or in nothing like it does when travelling in a car. If I could go on a 10k step walk in 30 minutes on a bike and reap the rewards, that would be something I would do daily.
Definitely do the work while you can as when you get older, the me time and work time just becomes something that takes you away from younger family.

The app seems to be counting swings (this is how it counts step: one back and forth equals two). You can wiggle it in your hand and get points, lol.
You definitely get points by biking, but the amount of it depends how quickly you pedal, I think, because the quicker you go the more swings you generate.
