My Actifit Report Card: September 19 2024.........Throwback Thursday ๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ด๐คโโ ๐ผ๐ถ๐โจ๐
Hello everyone ๐ป,
Happy Thursday ๐ and a very warm welcome to my report. Its been another great day and as always am back to report on it and get you up to speed with some of the trending stories.
Thank you for reading and let's get right into it, come on ๐จ.
So today I began my day with a walk around the neighborhood. Nothing new just a nice walk๐น.
It was sunny ๐ and cloudy โ๏ธ as I made my way.
Then I was back indoors handling the usual house chores including the cooking.
In between I watched some youtube, X and also caught up on other trending stories.
My next walk was at the city centre this afternoon getting some errands done.
Then the final walk was this evening after a little bit of resting. It was quite cloudy โ๏ธ n windy but luckily it didn't rain.
So that was my day and now let's get into the trending stories.
Things are heating up between Israel and Lebanon ๐. Israel carried out more than 40 airstrikes in southern Lebanon.
This after two Israeli soldiers were killed near the Lebanese border. Hezbollah fired more than 30 rockets into northern Israel๐.
Meanwhile Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah has firmly blamed Israel for the exploding devices calling it a massacre and act of war against his people. Adding that Israel had crossed all red lines.
Meanwhile, it's emerging that explosives had indeed been implanted in some of those devices๐. With blame going to companies in Hungary and Bulgaria๐.
In Gaza, the blood bath continued with the deaths of 21 Palestinians in Israeli airstrikes๐ฟ. Israel targeting schools and residential areas where most displaced people are sheltering.
Not far off in the occupied west bank, 7 Palestinians killed in an Israeli raid. Israeli soldiers seen pushing four bodies from the rooftop of a building๐.
Let's cross over to Europe, Russia has recaptured two villages in Kursk region as it tries to take control of the region that has been invaded by Ukraine.
Trending in the UK, five women say they were raped by former Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed when they worked at luxury London department store๐.
Overall, more than 20 female ex employees said the billionaire, who died last year aged 94, sexually assaulted or raped them๐ฟ.
Across the pond in the US, a long time CIA officer who drugged, photographed and sexually assaulted more than two dozen women in postings around the world has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison๐.
Finally in crazy weather, storm Boris has hit northern Italy bringing severe floods๐. Over 1000 people have been evacuated as water rises.
In contrast, thousands of firefighters are battling more than 100 wildfires ๐ฅ along 8 mile front in Portugal๐. A state of calamity has been declared, as it's said to be Portugal's worst fire outbreak in recent years.
Fingers crossed ๐ค that things will get back to normal ASAP.
All's well that ends well ๐ฏ.
So that's it from me today, see you again tomorrow on an amazing high five Friday. Until then stay safe, take care and toodles โค๏ธ. Hakuna Matata ๐ป๐ฏ.
