My Actifit Report Card: September 12 2024.........Throwback Thursday ๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ด๐คโโ ๐ผ๐ถ๐โจ๐
Hello everyone ๐ป,
Happy Thursday ๐ and a very warm welcome to my report. It's been another ordinary day stepping it out and it's now time to slow down and report on how my day went. Of course not forgetting the trending stories that caught my eye ๐.
So without much further ado let's take it away ๐จ.
So I began my day with a brisk walk around the neighborhood. Pretty cloudy and windy as I made my way around.
It was a little chilly compared to yesterday, but I had on warm clothes๐น.
Later on after about 20 or so minutes, I was back indoors getting on with the usual house chores.
Next I looked at some of the trending stories and also watched a bit of you tube and Twitter.
In the evening it was still a little cloudy as I left for my sunset ๐ walk. Though the sun shot through say around 4pm to 5pm. Good thing it didn't rain.
I made it back safe and sound and have been watching the news and just relaxing๐น.
So let's proceed to look at some of the trending stories.
In Gaza, funerals have been held for 18 people killed at an UNRWA school yesterday ๐ฟ. This includes six UN employees.
Not far off in the west bank, Israel is on a third day of a raid in Tulkarem refugee camp. Breaking down houses and tearing down roads๐, all in their search for Hamas fighters.
In the other war, Russian president Vladimir Putin has warned that if Ukraine is allowed to use long range weapons, the war will escalate. It will be Russia vs NATO๐.
Meanwhile Ukraine say they intercepted 44 of 64 drones Russia used to attack it.
In the UK, PM Keir Starmer has said the troubled NHS needs some quick reforms. Blaming the past Tory govt for the current situation.
Meanwhile, in response to Putin, Sir Keir Starmer has said Putin can end the war now, since he is the one that started it.
The PM is in Washington for talks with US president Joe Biden tomorrow.
Speaking of the US, Elon musk's SpaceX yesterday had it's first commercial private spacewalk. Another billionaire who was the passenger filmed the earth from outer space as he took videos from up there๐น.
It is a very expensive trip out of the reach of many, unfortunately๐ฟ.
Still in the US, Donald Trump has declined a second debate with Kamala Harris. I guess once bitten twice shy๐น.
Lets cross into Asia, where Singapore trending as Pope Francis said mass in one of the biggest stadiums drawing huge crowds as always.
Finally, severe flooding and destruction has been witnessed in northern Thailand as typhoon Yagi made landfall๐. It did similar destruction in Vietnam just a couple of days ago.
Hopefully everything will be restored, All's well that ends well ๐ฏ .
