My Actifit Report Card: August 22 2019
I played a couple rounds of disc golf today, mostly practicing this morning. I played in the evening with my son and scored three over par. There was some construction being done on the disc golf course and a temporary fence was making it difficult to throw a drive for me.
Earlier when I rode my ebike down to the more difficult disc golf course in town I took a few photographs.
It was pretty sunny today and I liked the way the light rays looked as they were coming down from the bridge. The water looked very colorful so I walked over to the river to get this picture:
It was kind of a exciting moment when the disc landed right by the basket from a drive from the tee. You have to get the drive to go around the tree you see in front of you and not have the disc go out of bounds over the fence:
There were some very pretty looking flowers growing wild in the park:
My witness disc rolled into some brush on the right side of the fairway and I saw these interesting looking berries when I went to look for the disc. I'm not sure what kind of berries these are but I'm not going to try them until someone identifies them for me.

Just for fun I measured a throw today with UDisc. I used my new tern disc that I bought to replace my favorite disc that I lost. The new disc still doesn't flip up like the old one did but I'm working on it. With any luck I can get a dog to chew on it or throw it into a few more trees, lol.
Actually having it fly like it does is not bad but it does not have the distance of the old one. In any case on a level open field I threw it 337 feet. (plus or minus 10 feet or so?)
Just a year ago I was throwing maybe 150 feet on a good throw. What a difference a year makes.

Those berries is known as Arum Italicum, seems tempting to try to eat them but they are poisonous.

@lightsplasher you've really improved in a year with your disc golf! That's what happens when you enjoy doing something and stick with it. Lol on getting a dog to chew some holes in your new tern disc. Your bridge photo is classic, the reflection in the water is cool. I've never seen berries like that, almost growing in a cluster like grapes. It's a good thing that @cryptopie identified them for you, so now you know they are poison!

The weather looks quite good. The berries are so fresh and the white flower is beautiful though I don't know the name. Great photography :-)
Yeah I would avoid the berries unless someone really knew their stuff. We are finally getting a break from the heat and it makes getting out more enjoyable! Great photos!

Sounds like the berries are not edible, I kind of thought maybe that was the case. It is feeling much cooler around here too. I've been pretty busy and have not been able to get in my steps like usual, so I have not been posting much but I'm fine thanks.
