My Actifit Report Card: May 11 2019
I rode my ebike around thirty miles today. I wanted to get some idea of the range of miles I can ride. The pedal assist goes from settings from one to five with five being the most. On the way out, I rode on pedal assist one or two and one the way back, on three to five. I think I had over half a tank of electrons left when I got home.
I rode triumphantly home the last stretch without even pedaling. The ride was slightly uphill and I was traveling at around seventeen miles an hour burning up nearly 750 watts of pure electric power. LOL.
I love this ebike - it has been keeping me very entertained and active.
As I get to know it better I will gradually try to start increasing my range. I would like to see if I can get forty or fifty miles or more. Pedaling on the pedal assist one or two setting is not much fun though. I would really not like it if the battery was drained completely. The bike can be pedaled just on its own but it is really heavy.
Here's a view of where I turned around:
A nice close-up of the flowers:
Here is one of the country roads that I traveled on:
The smaller roads are much nicer traffic wise but they do go up and down a lot more. This is a much more pleasant area to ride a bike over than some of my other recent rides.
I also did a bit of gardening today and some cleaning.
Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S9+. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher.
I believe I have ebike envy!! :) @lighsplasher
This ride that you took is really right up my alley, especially with the scenic landscapes and smaller roads. I know that the roads are probably not as well maintained, but, can the beauty possibly make up for that?
The shot you got of the lilac is simply divine! I could almost smell it! I'm serious! I am a little behind the information link on how these actually work as far as when you pedal and when you don't, but, it seems to me like it is a lot of fun and some exercise too!
Win-win!
You have been really racking up the miles! Kudos!! Happy Spring!

They are a lot of fun! You will get a workout on them and they won't always be able to go up every hill without some pedaling. They are really made to help you carry more weight in a more relaxed riding position while not working as hard as you would normally.
That was so fun riding your ebike see with a good road and surroundings to enjoy while you are travelling @lightsplasher
Does the pedaling charge the battery too?
Nice flowers there too. :D
Pedaling keeps the battery from being used as much, it doesn't charge the battery. If you go fast enough when pedaling (or coast) it doesn't use the battery at all. On the downhill when you lightly use the brakes it will recover around 280 watts to the battery and apply braking force without even wearing the pads down.
thats a good ride, I must admit you are tempting me to get an ebike someday maybe when I retire and have more time for rides
They are a lot of fun and I think I'll end up saving on transportation costs. I can shop for groceries more easily and go to places that were too far to easily get there before.
All great reasons to get one I must check out what ones are on the market here and read some reviews and see what there going for
It is really obvious the love is there for the ebike. Beautiful flower this is also
