++ 11800 Schritte ++ Jeden Tag auf den Markt, mindestens ++

Hallo Freunde,

der Markt ist praktisch mein wichtigster Treffpunkt mit den Einheimischen, neben den Nachbarn, wobei hier die Kinder die Eisbrecher sind. Denn im ganzen Ort gibt es keine Bar, keine Kneipe und kein Restaurant. Für jemanden, für den eine Bar zur Lebensqualität gehört, ist das wahrscheinlich ein Alptraum. Die einzige Kneipe ist im anderen Ortsteil am Strand und die nächste Bar ist 5 km entfernt.
Ich finde das gut.

Einen Kühlschrank braucht man hier eigentlich nicht, es sei denn, man will Obst und Gemüse bis zum Verzehr kühlen. Fleisch, Fisch auf Vorrat zu kaufen ist eher nicht empfehlenswert. Fisch schmeckt nur frisch und Fleisch ist nur so lange gut, wie es auf dem Markt liegt. Am nächsten Tag sieht es schon grau aus, am übernächsten riecht es und am dritten Tag lebt es wieder, trotz Kühlschrank.

Die Auswahl ist ok, wenn man davon absieht, dass man bis auf die Innereien immer die Knochen mitkauft und Filetieren und Portionieren eher selten gewünscht und daher auch nicht angeboten wird. Man kauft eben keine Hähnchenbrustfilets oder Keulen und auch keine Schweinesteaks, sondern das ganze Tier oder ein Stück vom Hals oder von der Schulter.

Ein echtes Problem ist für mich der Ausländerzuschlag. Wenn möglich, gehen wir zusammen einkaufen, damit die Händler sehen, dass ich kein Tourist bin, sondern nur @Reccandra's Einkaufsbote. Aber selbst dann werde ich am nächsten Tag, wenn ich wieder allein einkaufen gehe, mit überhöhten oder doppelt überhöhten Preisen abgezockt.

Das Einzige, was man tun kann, ist, nie wieder bei diesem Händler einzukaufen und dem nächsten Händler zu sagen, dass man vorher viel zu teuer eingekauft hat. Der Konkurrenzdruck auf dem Markt ist relativ hoch, also hoffe ich, dass sich das herumspricht.
Aber @Reccandra geht es auch nicht besser, sie ist die Freundin eines Ausländers, Ausländer sind per Definition reich und dumm, also kommt es auch vor, dass man bei ihr höhere Preise verlangt.
Aber dieses Problem kennt jeder Weiße, der im Ausland lebt.

the market is practically my most important meeting place with the locals, next to the neighbors, and here the children are the icebreakers. Because in the whole place there is no bar, no pub and no restaurant. For someone for whom a bar is part of the quality of life, this is probably a nightmare. The only pub is in the other part of town on the beach and the nearest bar is 5 km away.
I think that is good.

You don't really need a refrigerator here, unless you want to refrigerate fruits and vegetables until you eat them. Meat, fish to buy in stock is rather not recommended. Fish tastes only fresh and meat is only good as long as it is on the market. The next day it already looks gray, the day after next it smells and the third day it is alive again, despite the refrigerator.

The selection is ok, except for the fact that you always buy the bones except for the giblets and filleting and portioning is rarely desired and therefore not offered. You just don't buy chicken breast fillets or legs and also no pork steaks, but the whole animal or a piece of the neck or shoulder.

A real problem for me is the foreigner surcharge. If possible, we go shopping together so that the merchants see that I am not a tourist, but just @Reccandra's shopping messenger. But even then, the next day when I go shopping alone again, I get ripped off with inflated or double inflated prices.

The only thing to do is to never shop at that retailer again and tell the next retailer that you shopped for way too much before. The competitive pressure in the market is relatively high, so I hope word gets out.
But @Reccandra doesn't fare any better, she is the girlfriend of a foreigner, foreigners are by definition rich and stupid, so it also happens that people ask higher prices from her.
But this problem knows every white person who lives abroad.
