Actifit iOS is Here ! 2 Months Updates & Future Plans
iOS Version Released
Two months ago, Actifit started as an idea for an SMT that rewards people to get fit. We launched, back then, an Android app that gave people the bare bone functionality to be able to track their activity and post it on Steemit.
Although many already know that we've had the iOS app ready for a while now, and we gave many accounts early tester access a week ago, yet it was only the Apple approval that was delaying our official launch..
Today we are more than excited to be able to answer to our iPhone users' requests of bringing them an official app store Apple version!
The Apple version is almost an exact copy of the Android version, with slightly minor differences, hence if you have any questions you can easily refer to the tutorial at the end of this post, check out the FAQs, read the text tutorial, or come to us with questions upon need.
Still don't know what Actifit is?
Actifit is a SMT that relies on its own mobile app (Android, iOS) to enable Steem users to easily and seamlessly track their daily activity, and reward them for posting this activity to the Steem blockchain from within the app.
Walk your dog, mow the lawn, go for a run, walk to work, ... whatever your favorite (or not so favorite) activity, do it, and get rewarded for it.
Rewards come in the shape of Steem upvotes and AFIT tokens.

What have we accomplished so far?
Concept Adoption
Actifit kicked off its first days on the Steem blockchain with less than 10 contributions, and the number continuously increased until we have reached 200+ contributions per day, all of which are receiving upvotes and AFIT token rewards, as long as they reach the min amount of activity required per day (5,000 activity count)
The number of Active downloads for the Android app has crossed the 1,000+ mark, and with 200+ rewarded contributions per day (without counting ones with less than 5,000 activity), this puts Actifit at nothing short of 20% active usage, which is a remarkable number for an app.
At this rate, we are doing far better than most ETH and EOS dapps, which according to this report are at a total of 8 with 300 active users per day, and we are getting closer by the day to this number. We expect to cross it real soon with Apple users, and way beyond with Velocity HF. (Thanks @taskmaster4450 for bringing this article to my attention)
Changing Lives
We constantly read some heartwarming stories by Actifitters who were struggling to be active, losing weight, or with healing beyond an injury, and are now changing their daily habits and feeling the health-first benefits .. and token rewards by using Actifit. Those posts leave us proud and humbled by having the opportunity to change lives of so many Steemians!
Steem Power Delegations
We started with an account that had 500 SP Delegation from the founder, and then day in day out, we kept receiving overwhelming support from the community, that brought us 2 months down the road to 110K+ SP, with around 200 delegators.
We cannot be happier with the wonderful support so far, which has been allowing us to reward both in AFIT tokens as well Steem upvotes.
Most of our support comes from smaller accounts, which makes us quite proud. Although to be able to sustain providing actifitters with enough upvotes, particularly with the iOS launch, which we believe shortly will double the contributions count and bring us to 500 contributions per day, sooner than later.
So this is a call out to dolphins, orcas, and whales on the Steem platform, to join in on our mission to change everyone's lives, by promoting healthy living, being active, while giving everyone proper incentives as AFIT tokens, and plans to help grow the whole Steem ecosystem .. more on that below

Reaching out beyond Steem ecosystem
Although we are still shy on promoting Actifit outside of Steem with really minimum social media work and engagement, and the reason being the slow approval rate as most of you are aware, yet we did have few accounts notify us that they joined Steem because of Actifit. Once velocity goes live, we believe we will be able to bring Actifit to the masses, relying on the potential to create Steem accounts using RCs, and hence launching massive communication outside the Steem blockchain.
Our token distribution?
As of writing this report, Actifit has rewarded more than 4.7 Million AFIT tokens to delegators, actifitters, upvoters, developers, moderators and as different bounties for promoters and whoever has been helping Actifit grow!
This made the total amount of AFIT token holders 15.7K+ of different Steem accounts.
We are proud to have been helping people get moving, and hence had rewarded an excess of 7.3K activity reports!
100K tokens are being distributed to delegators on a daily basis (max cap), around 20K to activity reports, and 12K to upvoters.
