Stormy Wind while 5K Parkrun

On the way to the park run this morning at 8.00 a.m. it rained. The windshield wiper of my car had a lot to do to keep the windshield free. I was thinking that today will be a very wet 5 km run.

Fortunately I took precautions and was dressed accordingly. When I arrived at the park run some runners were already waiting for me, who are really running regardless of the weather.

After a few minutes the sky cleared up, it stopped raining and at 9.00 a.m. we all started. With stormy wind, which gave us additional speed, we started the first kilometers. After about 2.5 km we got the wind from the front, which unfortunately took away a lot of our speed.

I ran a little faster than last time, but I'm not really satisfied with my performance yet.

I need more patience with myself, which I sometimes don't have.

Auf dem Weg zum Parkrun heute morgen um 8.00 Uhr regnete es. Der Scheibenwischer meines Autos hatte eine Menge zu tun um die die Frontscheibe frei zu halten. Ich dachte mir schon, dass wird heute ein sehr nasser 5 km Lauf.

Zum Glück habe ich vorgesorgt und mich dementsprechend angezogen. Beim Parkrun angekommen erwarteten mich schon einige Läufer, die wirklich bei jedem Wetter laufen.

Nach einigen Minuten klarte der Himmel auf, es hörte auf zu regnen und pünktlich um 9.00 Uhr liefen wir alle los. Bei starkem Wind, der uns zusätzliches Tempo gab, starteten wir die ersten Kilometer. Nach ca. 2.5 km bekamen wir aber den Wind von vorne, der uns leider gehörig Tempo wegnahm.

Ich bin ein wenig schneller als das letzte Mal gelaufen, aber richtig zufrieden bin ich mit meiner Leistung noch nicht.

Ich brauche mehr Geduld mit mir selbst, die ich manchmal nicht habe.
