Of aceh and Indonesia

Salam sejahtera, hello if you are reading this, especially from Aceh or Indonesia.

First of all, I want to make things clear, that I am not Indonesian but I have some fundamental understanding of Bahasa Indonesia.

I was browsing on the tags and topics of SteemIt a few days ago, and noticed the tags #aceh and #indonesia
I am rather surprised that how could a semi-autonomous Indonesian province on the northwest tip of Sumatera island can be in a list of hot topics, not to mention Indonesia, a country consists of thousands of islands in the Southeast Asia region.

I clicked into both tags and read a few of the articles presented on my screen, and bombarded with mixtures of english and indonesian language articles. The articles are mostly about the food, travel, and culture, some with a touch of politics news.
But what made me curious was, why Aceh, a province governed by Syariah law, and not a more secular city like Jakarta?

If you haven't knew, Indonesia has one of the largest traffic on twitter, it is a major social media in Indonesia. One possible reason for this big traffic of Steemians coming from Banda Aceh, might be word of mouth, the concept of "you can earn money by posting online" spread like wild fire in Aceh, and people started getting on SteemIt and posting blogs and articles, hoping to hit the jackpot and get rich fast and with the convenience at home.

But hey, there is no wrong wanting to earn money ;)

Nevertheless, the articles I've read was of good quality and readable, and have space for improvements. I am not blaming them for having a big traffic here, but if you are entering a city with many cars, the possibility of you getting hit by one is definitely higher.
