Welcome to Takengon. That is the welcoming words that we can read anytime we pass the gate as the border of Benar Meriah with Takengon. The way to Takengon is hilly and full of challenges. Going down the mountains, we directly arrive in the downtown of Takengon. What makes us surprised when arriving in Takengon is not because of the city, but the beauty of the nature belongs to this district.

From the far distance we can see a red writing informing us with the words " The Gayo Highlands ". It gives us a special impression and inspiration on the city. So, it is one of the impressive and amazing of Takengon.

Traveling to Takengon in Central Aceh is not only enough for searching coffee and enjoying the coffee garden. It is also unforgettable that Takengon is very popular with the beauty of the Laut Tawar lake. Laut Tawar lake looks like see or ocean, because this lake is vavy, like we see in the sea. The wind flows strongly and make the water wavy and wavy. The wind blows strongly and cool.

Some small boats were in the lake. Some people on the little boat are fishing. Depik, the tiny fish is very popular taken from the Laut Tawar lake. It is not only famous in Takengon, but out of Takengon. It becomes as the souvenirs for people who visit Takengon. It can be said that Laut Tawar lake is the source of life.

Going around the lake by car is interesting. It gives us the joys. The mountains around the lake is amazing. Therefore for me Takengon is not only and I can not forget it.
