IN MEMORY OF A DAD, MR OYENIRAN ADEREMI

in #aceh7 years ago

In the midst of revelry that followed the successful transition from 2017 to 2018, in an atmosphere saturated with fun and merriment, the news of your death came as a shock and an enigma; one could not really tell if a script was being rehearsed or acted on, not until it dawned on us that it was a reality. I believe life is ephemeral but death showed you the exit door so early.

Mr David Sunday Aderemi Oyeniran is a man of enviable character, a man meeker than the dove, an embodiment of humility, a responsible father who does not tolerate any iota of indiscipline, an ambassador and promoter of peace. He treats everyone he comes across with with a deep sense of family belonging: one would hardly differentiate his family members from non-family members - one would wonder what manner of man he is who doesn't give preferential treatment! Why would death lay claim on such man?

I could remember the last time we saw. He gave me nice words of encouragement, sharing with me his gruesome experiences and how he scaled through, thereby encouraging me not to relent in my pursuit. Who knew that would be our last encounter? Even when I was sick to the point of death, his words of assurance and prayers left me in an optimistic mood. With the few years you have spent on earth, you have created a niche for yourself and left a legacy nothing can erode. You will forever live in our memories.

Though death is a debt every man must pay, losing someone dear to it is difficult to recover from. Its pang is such that leaves an indelible scar behind. It continues to brag in its cruelty as if timeless. All I know is death shall die someday.

Continue to rest in the Lord Sir!FB_IMG_1515270656496.jpg
