**The Sultanate of Aceh Darussalam is an Islamic kingdom **that once stood in the province of Aceh, Indonesia. The sultanate of Aceh is located in the north of Sumatra island with the capital Bandar Bandar Darussalam with its first sultan is Sultan Ali Mughayat Syah who was crowned on Sunday, 1 Jumadil beginning 913 H or on 8 September 1507. In the long history (1496 - 1903), Aceh developing patterns and systems of military education, committing themselves against the imperialism of the Europeans, having a systematic and orderly system of government, establishing centers of scientific assessment, and establishing diplomatic relations with other countries.

Sultan Iskandar Muda (Jawi: إسكندر مودا‬; 1583?[1] – 27 December 1636[2]) was the twelfth Sulṭān of Acèh Darussalam.

Under whom the sultanate achieved its greatest territorial extent, and was the strongest power and wealthiest state in the western Indonesian archipelago and the Strait of Malacca. "Iskandar Muda" literally means "young Alexander".and his conquests were often compared to those of Alexander the Great.[2] In addition to his notable conquests, during his reign, Aceh became known as an international centre of Islamic learning and trade.
