Aceh which located in Sumatera Island has so many icon. In this post I would like to introduced only three great icon known in Aceh. They are:

Well, the first one is called "Rencong". Rencong has long been as Aceh Icon, it started from 13 centuries. The main reason why Rencong could be as Aceh Icon is because of its shape, so that this icon used by many people.

Pinto Aceh or in English Translation is Aceh Door is the second top icon of Aceh. Pinto Aceh design is taken from a monument of Iskandar Muda Sultanate called "Pinto Khoh". The monument is functioned as theme park which located in the side of Daroy River. It is believed that the door is made just for Sultanate Iskandar Muda Empress along with the ladies as their entrances to the river for bathing. At the moment the park is named as Putroe Phang Park. Phang or Pahang was the name of the empress.

The motives was first introduced in 1926. At that moment Dutch based in Kutaraja (Banda Aceh) held The Great Satteling "night market", it was held in Esplaned (Blang padang Pitch). In this event, Dutch gave chances to gold and silver artist to open stages and show their art work.

Baiturrahman Grand Mosque could be stated as the pride icon Aceh Acehnese and it has already became as Aceh Landmark in common. Many local and foreign visitor visit Baiturahman Mosque for praying and taking picture. The mosque is located in the capital of Aceh, Banda Aceh.
