benefits of wheatgrass
Wheatgrass is primarily used as a source of nutrients. Wheatgrass contains vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, iron, calcium, magnesium, and amino acids. Wheatgrass is used to treat a variety of conditions, but so far there is not enough scientific evidence to support the effectiveness for any of these uses.
Wheatgrass is believed to be used to increase hemoglobin production, improve blood sugar disorders, such as diabetes; prevent tooth decay; improve wound healing time; and prevent bacterial infections.
Some people use wheatgrass to prevent gray hair, reduce high blood pressure, improve digestive system, and lower cholesterol by affecting fat absorption.
Furthermore, wheatgrass is also believed to be used to treat various urinary tract disorders, including urinary tract infections, benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), and kidney stones.
Other uses include treatment of respiratory complaints, including runny nose, cough, bronchitis, fever, sore throat, joint pain, and chronic skin problems.
Current recommendations can only be used for adults. However, because there is not enough medical research on the effects of wheatgrass, you should still consult your doctor first if you have certain health complaints.
