Bay of Jantang, the Hidden Virgin Beach in Aceh

Aceh has a myriad of beautiful and exotic beaches. One that is still hidden and unpopular is Jantang Bay in Aceh Besar.

Jantang Bay name is not so popular among traveler. the location of this beach in Jantang Village, Lhoong District, Aceh Besar or about one hour drive from Banda Aceh.

It's not hard to find it. If moving from the provincial capital of Aceh, the traveler can cross the western highway. after passing Mount Paro and Mount Kulu, the traveler arrived in District Lhoong. A signage is mounted in front of the entrance to the beach.

to get to Jantang Bay which is located on the south side of Pasi Pante Blang Raya, there are two alternative pathways to choose from. First, pass a cliff or hill by walking about 5 minutes.

a traveler is advised to be careful when passing it by a slight slip, falling down. This route is most visited by visitors.

the second alternative route is by way of swimming on the edge of the cliff from Pasi Pang Blang Raya. But this method is not recommended because it is classified as dangerous if the waves are high. However, there are some travelers who choose the path.

At Jantang Bay Beach which was opened about eight months ago, the traveler can enjoy the beauty of the underwater with snorkeling.
