Jakarta - The Governor of Aceh Irwandi Yusuf became a guest speaker with the Turkish ambassador for Indonesia. Sander Gurbuz in the Ambassador Forum Program hosted by Host Maria Harfanti at Studio TVRI Pusat, Jakarta (2/3/2018).
On that occasion Irwandi Yusuf said that Turkey and Indonesia have a very close relationship and specifically have a strong historical relationship with Aceh, in addition to cooperative relations in the field of economy and trade, in terms of bilateral relations between the two countries is also very good.
The Governor of Aceh said geographically the relationship between Turkey and Aceh is very far, but always close to the heart of the people of Aceh.
Irwandi further said that there are two Turkish energy companies that will invest in Aceh, Hitay, which will work on geothermal and Aksa that will build a gas power plant (PLTG) in Lhokseumawe.

Irwandi also explained various other investment opportunities to the turk ambassadors such as arabica gayo coffee that has the best quality and has been recognized by the international community, the tourism sector and the port.
The government of Aceh under the leadership of Irwandi Yusuf and Nova Iriansyah is also developing the aviation sector both in terms of widening airport runways and some other airport infrastructure to improve the means of aerospace.
Meanwhile, Ali Mudakir, Pertamina Operations Director of PGE, said that Indonesia has the largest geothermal potential in the world, one of which is in Aceh. There are 5 geothermal potential locations in Aceh, one of which is in Sabang City with geothermal potential which is very large, and Seulawah.
"For next year Geothermal Seulawah will soon enter the exploration stage," said Ali Mudakir.
Ali Mudakir added that the expected effect multipalyer of Geothermal development is the growth of the tourism industry such as hot water baths that can improve the economy of the community
He added that after a visit by President Joko Widodo to Turkey some time ago, Pertamina will follow up by cooperating with several Turkish companies to develop the potential of Geothermal in Indonesia.
Turkish Ambassador to Indonesia Dr Sander Gurbuz said in addition to cooperation in the field of energy, it also opens opportunities in the field of Education and will open opportunities for cooperation to develop the Tourism industry

Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of Aceh Mulyadi Nurdin, who attended the Governor Irwandi Yusuf said that the relationship between Turkey and Aceh is very good, and the Aceh Government opens opportunities to improve cooperation relations in the fields of geothermal, education, tourism, coffee and various other possible cooperation opportunities.
