It is a privilege to be here at the @accra community, which has already produced one promising project called @yensesa. @accra has always been ahead of the times. Early on, @accra opened her doors to the entire community. When this community introduced ACCRA CREDIT UNION to offer the advantages of credit union membership as widely as possible among the resident and working community.
The community of Accra is growing everyday, not only in numbers or geographically, but into new digital territory. As we make more connections among ourselves and the global economy, an effective means of payment is required for us to reach our full potential.
For we seek to furnish credit among our members sufficient to satisfy this free exchange of ideas, goods, and services.. We seek to provide this monetary service "BY US FOR US". We established the accra credit union to achieve this. By promoting financial literacy, good money management, increasing the level of local saving and extending credit facilities at reasonable rates.*
In addition to this, we look forward to contributing to the regeneration of our common bond area, by increasing the level of local saving.
As many of you know the signup process for account creation on Steemit can take up to two weeks. This is a bottleneck when it comes to onboarding entire nations of users onto the platform. The members of Accra Credit Union cannot afford to wait for the manual review process. There is an option to pay a private dealer for steem accounts – this is known as instant accounts. Thus far, the following accounts have been created with the borrowed funds.

This is a new model for community finance. Loans made among members of the cooperative community are key to bringing financial independence to the every individual in the world.
We wish to maximise the potential of the Credit Union by actively encouraging access to credit union services for all members of the community. At least we are the ones who wouldn't draw on you with a Sharpie when you fall asleep at a party. We entreat all members to get involved now for that financial freedom they've always wished for.
NB: The extension of credit will be determined by a stakeholder vote, and we have determined our first recipients..
