I thought all Tesla’s have mechanical emergency door handles, at least in the front. If not, wow.

Yeah; I see the article notes that not all cars have it on the rear door. But that’s because you’re expected to be able to get out via the front, presumably. I was saying I thought they all had it in the front.

Of course, if the front is full of inert people or the doors are crushed or blocked, you’re screwed.

Really all cars should have a way to break or otherwise force down the window. I’d want a hammer, not a hard to find many it’s even there release.

I just read the manual briefly. I don’t understand it, and I’m not a dummy. There is no way if I’m ever a passenger in one of those cars and need to figure out how to get out an emergency that I will figure it out in the dark and I certainly won’t remember this weird instruction.
