I've explained my reasoning, and most who express disagreement with my position (yourself included) are doing so without countering that reasoning. Several have indicated that altered their positions as a result of my explanations. I gather that you feel hurt because you saw your potential for financial gain reduced by my actions, but please consider the context of those actions and my explanations of them. If you have a counterargument to make, I'm open to considering it as I have other responses.
Hello at 2, I'm reading and the 2 have a different point of view but in a sense the 2 sides (to call it somehow) you have some reason.
I'm not going to give my opinion because I'm still learning and I'm not even able to give reasoning worthwhile on this subject but I think you are partly right in 2 according to my thoughts, I mean nothing black or white there are intermediate grays and other colors;) to say it in some way everything absolutely everything in this life is bad, so the best thing is always to find a balance and a middle point and that is why I understand the 2 arguments and the 2 have some reason.
but I wanted to interrupt this talk since I see here in steemit problems of a magnitude infinitely larger than what I see here, here are exchanging some very good points but I think it is a bit of a possible waste of time since there are other problems much more serious and before them the ideal is to give higher priority to those larger problems to try to solve them in the best way possible.
What I do not think is good is to put flags and more flags without warning or give a warning or propose better methods, that is, I think it is much healthier and sportier to have good conversations than to put the flag and discuss it to try remove it or solve problems once created, it is better as I say exchange ideas and also in the course of these exchanges of ideas you would be giving a real value to the platform since you would be looking for the best solutions or the best ways of doing things.

@troglodactyl e looked at your account and seen that you have a small profit from the participation of a giveaway in your last purse history, I was really a little surprised by that because I see that you are completely against it and you are giving your arguments with which I agree as I said at a certain point but I do not understand why then you are participating in that giveaway when precisely that is what you are criticizing, I hope it is something else or an error or something I am not understanding at all because if you really are participating in one of them (or more, I do not know) and you are against them and marked with red flags then that would be a very hypocritical aptitude, therefore I hope I am wrong and that it is something else or that you give me a good explanation about that since it is not my intention to call anyone hypocritical because it is not a very pleasant word but I base only on what I was able to verify in that transaction.
Summing up I think it's better if you want to help and in your case you have a big enough account to go to other more serious matters as you can see here where there are very large accounts that are taking a lot of the total reward from Steemit a way that does not help anything to steemit because they are simply voting on each other in a systematic and automated way without giving good content only by taking advantage of those gaps that the system still has to self-benefit in the short term and endanger sustainability.
and as I said before I think there are better ways of doing things than putting red flags, or punishments, if we are decentralized and there is no censorship it is clear that you have to have some basic rules of coexistence but I think that punishment is not the best way to moving forward is better to propose solutions and help is to be on the side of solutions and not on the side of problems, I hope not to be voted with a red flag for my comment because then that means that whoever voted did not understand what I mean.
what we should be clear is that no one is perfect nor are we in an uptopia, I am the farthest to perfect, and a lot of mistakes are made but the important thing is not that we are perfect or want to be and we want to be right in everything , the important thing is to have a good attitude and want to improve because we will not be perfect but we are all unique and different and each one has something to contribute if given the opportunity to do so

I'm as puzzled as you are by that transfer from @upvforlife. I'm assuming it was an error as I didn't upvote the contest. I downvoted it and then removed the downvote when @honolulu agreed to end his giveaways, which may have caused confusion and error in his payout system.
I agree Steem has a lot of problems, but I don't have either the time or the SP to solve all of them. I upvote the good content I see, downvote what I think is destructive, and follow up on both as I can. I have no delusions of being able to singlehandedly address all the issues, but I try to do my part and hope that others will do the same.
Also, that's a lot of text. I read it all, but if you work on being a bit more concise I think you'll be more effective at communicating with people in the future.
