Blockchain Nigeria User Group records all-time-high in the third installment of its Abuja Blockchain and Digital Asset Conference held at the exquisite Abuja Sheraton Hotel and Suites, Abuja Nigeria.

The Abuja Blockchain and Digital Asset Conference, a premium gathering of the fourth industrial revolution held in the capital city of Nigeria, Abuja, at the Sheraton Hotel and Suites to brood on the way forward for technology in Nigeria.

The event day one had in attendance, cryptocurrency/blockchain experts, political analysts, financial regulators and people from all sectors.

To commemorate with Nigeria's Independence, the national anthem was used to start the conference, showing patriotism, and trust.

Mr Chuta Chimezie gave a prodding opening speech on the efficiency of blockchain-based solutions in the running of a nation's government, leading to the extinction of corruption in all its sectors.

"Blockchain...can provide the system with agile, secure...and high-performing governance. Areas in which Nigeria government could use blockchain include, supply chain, taxation...tokenizing engagement with citizens and digital currencies."

The Hon., Minister of Communications, House of Reps leader, Executive Director at Keystone Bank and a host of other seasoned speakers, tackled the issue of cryptocurrency usage and implementation in Nigeria from different angles, mentioning how the industrial revolution can be explored to put Nigeria on the fore front of technology developers.

Femi Gbajabiamila talked about 'How the government can leverage blockchain and technologies of the 4IR for better service delivery."

Keynote speaker, Prof Kingsley Moghalu, former UN diplomat/former deputy governor CBN pledged allegiance to the fast-tracking movement for crypto adoption and regulation in the country with his speech.

He talked about what it means to develop a blockchain-based system, immediate benefits and long-term transformational potential for Africa.

Another speaker, Mr Abubakar Umar, co-founder and CEO of Cynotrust Intelligent Systems, a remittance platform, celebrated Nigeria's major exporting product, saying "Nigeria's major export is not oil but its citizens."

To curate the event day one was the founder and CEO of Blockchain Nigeria User Group, Chuta Chimezie, who has been pivotal to the spread of blockchain/cryptocurrency information in Nigeria and in other developing countries in Africa.

Day 2 of the event, held the NITDA workshop session, a hackathon and industry-leading Breakout Sessions.

The exhibitions on Day 1 and 2 showed how far Nigeria has come in the blockchain trend. The exhibition of products and services from Bitfxt coin (BXT), a decentralized cryptocurrency built with a proof of stake algorithm. Kudi Exchange, XendBit, Decred, Jelurida amongst others, practically reveals the efforts people are making for Blockchain/cryptocurrency to be regulated and adopted in the country.

The event is believed to be majorly sponsored by Quanta, the world's first modern lottery protocol that enables cryptocurrency payments and a decentralized random number generator based on the Ethereum blockchain.
