Steem Basic Income

Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

Joseph is an adoring father and loves to teach her things. He has talked her through making coffee and nachos and tells her about his work on the computer. Though she hasn't made us dinner yet. ;)

We enjoy going on walks around the neighborhood and taking detours so @babysavage can walk on the grass, and bark, and gravel, and dirt, and then the path again to her fancy. My favorite is to chase @babysavage up and down the halls. Sometimes she crawls so excitedly she lands on her face with laughter.

Joseph has a unique understanding of how things fit together, and of the many unforeseen consequences of events, policies, and system changes. Despite his vast interests and knowledge, he is not above explaining the most basic subject until understanding is accomplished.

SBI is our 'problem child'

Joseph gave life to SBI and I worked diligently to support him. The considerable amount of time spent on daily upkeep made it an ongoing question if it would survive before automation. The birth of our daughter made the effort even harder, but also all the more important. It reminded us of the families who benefited or could benefit, from SBI.

In any case, Joseph persisted. Joseph's compassion is really the reason SBI was created, and why it is still running today. He cares immensely for the underprivileged and is passionate about providing truly positive aid.

If you want to get involved, or to increase the level of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:

Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 unit in the program. You can sponsor any active Steemian (except for yourself), it does not have to be a current member.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. If we choose to accept SBD without refunding it, you do not receive extra value for it. Enrollments are processed automatically every 144 minutes.
