Having large amounts of sugar in your blood is very dangerous because it damages blood vessels and nerves. To much sugar makes your Pancreas release to much Insulin so if your constantly snacking without burning the excess off your body becomes less sensitive to Insulin so then your Pancreas needs to produce more Insulin.

WHY INTERMITTENT FASTING WORKS
Leaving a certain length of time in between meals gives your body time to repair itself. Doing this activates a process called Autophagy.
This is a natural process where dead, diseased or worn out cells are broken down. This process can't start if your eating constantly. Fasting triggers Autophagy. This begins when Liver Glycogen is depleted between 12 - 16 hours of a fast.

I'm a weight loss coach and have some issues with this idea, but I am not 100% sure either way. Does this book mention the 31 essential nutrients and how to get them in the plan?
Hi. I've been doing this since August and lost 50lbs, never felt better. It hasnt mentioned them as yet. Its high protein, low sugar Mediterranean diet so should have everything there.
Well maybe - this is still me on my food blog.
Would you mind being a test case for me? Just find any online tracker that has the nutrients. Track maybe 3 days when you are on your game and see how it goes. I do not count calories at all with the people I work with, only nutrients. But this fasting thing is coming up a lot, so I am wondering about it now.
I recommend 120% of the rda for all of the EN's as a goal and some are higher, such as fiber at 150%.
But I am only wondering if you get to 100%.

I fast at least once a month. I always feels it helps me out on so many levels! Xo friend!
I fast twice a week, definitely feel better for them :)
