It's all fading away now...

"I love you." The words still ring out from my dream. They weren't said by some romantic partner or something. They were said by a customer as my convenience store. She was telling me how much she appreciated me, because I had just agreed to help her find beer. Yeah, not exactly the romantic situation you wanna hear such words in. But they didn't feel false. Her character seemed like she was 100% genuine when she said it.

I think she usually liked Michelob, or it might have been Miller, but she also sometimes drank Coors I think. I was trying to go through the back room looking for a 12 pack or something for her, waiting for her to show up. She had gone out to her car to get something. It was a mess. There was pretty much no order to any of the beers in the cooler. They were all just stacked on top of each other and falling over. In front of the cooler there were some kind of toys for a Spiderman movie. I was trying to figure out what they were before I woke up. I think the one that I was looking at was some kind of Venom one.

It had been a crazy day. Perhaps that's why she was so genuinely happy when I had finally agreed to help her. I remember not really wanting to. No one really wanted to. She might have also had a bit of a drinking problem. I can't really remember. Just moments in dream time before I helped her though, someone had a kid.

There was this beautiful girl that frequented the store, and a African stock boy that really liked her. I seem to remember he always wore a huge smile. He had gotten her pregnant. There was a big group of people all having some kind of ceremony, singing, to welcome the baby into the world. But it wasn't his. Apparently she had a kid from before she met him. She was still pregnant with his kid though. Apparently in my dream reality, they stack up like that.

I remember I had taken off my shoes and jumped into the large wash area, getting down on my knees to see him. They asked if he was mine. Perhaps the way I had just jumped in had made them question. I told them no. I just wanted to look at him, and help wash him off.

There were so many complexities of the dream, but they're all fading away with the dream. I knew everyone there as if I knew them in real life. I knew things about them. I knew their backstories.

That woman who told me she loved me didn't do it because she was weird. She did it because I always helped her and she loved me as a friend. She truly loved me as a friend. It was like I peaked into some alternate reality. Some alternate reality where apparently people can get pregnant multiple times at once and have them one after the other. I mean, here, technically, you can get pregnant from two different people, but it's rare. You have to drop two eggs, and they each be fertilized by some different. There, it was like each of them developed into their own egg sack, and you could push them out separately or something. Probably increased the birth rate dramatically. But maybe it was rare. I got the feeling it was probably rare.

The only other thing I remember, other than this vague sense that I knew all these different people, was some kind of conversation with a patron of the store, about them hiding messages in the paper or something. I guess he was a conspiracy nut. But he was saying it had something to do with winning money or something. Like they hid the numbers to the Lottery in the placement of objects in pictures on the front page. It was really fucking weird. If I die tomorrow, you know he was right.
