The Fixing of a Client's Faulty Power Bank

Thanks to @mesola for giving me an opportunity to share with you how I corrected a fault in a gadget that is turning into a personal belonging to majority of steemians especially those in countries that are still battling with a steady power supply. Do well to read through.

Due to how expensive some gadgets are many people choose to repair them when they get faulty and today I will be showing how I fixed a faulty flash light of one of my clients.
But before I proceed I will like to mention some of the tools and materials that I needed for this task to be successful.

These tools include:
1. Soldering iron
2. Soldering lead
3. Soldering paste
4. A screw driver
5. Soldering iron holder
6. A rework station (optional)
7. LED bulb
8. Light source
9. Power supply
10. Multimeter

The soldering iron is an essential tool to every electronics technician; it is used in the mounting of a component on a motherboard( a board that comprises of different components that are interconnected forming a circuit).

The soldering iron could also perform the function of a rework station which is commonly referred to as blower. It is used to unsolder a component from the motherboard as well as the mounting of a component on a motherboard. It is mostly used with components that have multiple legs like the spider integrated circuit (ic).

The soldering paste is useful as it act as a lubricant which enhances the efficiency of the desoldering(removal) and mounting of a component on the motherboard.

A soldering iron holder as the name implies helps in holding the soldering iron to avoid unnecessary burns. It doesn't mean that if you don't have it, you won't be able to deliver the job; so, I consider it a secondary tool.

Light source is very important especially when working at night or with very tiny components to avoid complete damaging of a client's gadget.

The compliant of the client was that "the power bank light doesn't on when you press the on-button".
At that point I needed to troubleshoot in order to know what exactly is the cause of this malfunctioning power bank.

Troubleshooting is where the brain cells of every technician is always vibrating at very high frequency.

Once you're able to detect the cause of the error, then the problem is more than 95% solved as the remaining 5% is just to effect the changes that would restore the gadget to its original state or something closed to it's original state.

After troubleshooting with the help of a multimeter, which time would fail me to go into details, I discovered that the LED bulb was dead and the solution is just to get a replacement.

I unsoldered the bad LED bulb and replaced it with a workable LED bulb using the aforementioned tools and the power bank was restored to it original state.
I had to test and retest it to ensure that the job is authentic before handing it to the client.

The client was glad to have his power bank flash light working again; so, he had to do the needful before getting the power bank.
