JUNSEI'S NOTES
This pamphlet was used to promote the NISSAN PULSAR, the 2 trim levels displayed were only made in limited quantity (500 for each trim level). The PULSAR was sold as the NISSAN CHERRY in Europe.
The Italian-styled graphics and imagery seen in this pamphlet are largely influenced by the recent joint-venture between NISSAN and Italian automaker Alfa Romeo. The plans for increased cooperation between the two automakers were short-lived, however, as the Alfa Romeo Arna (Based on the NISSAN CHERRY) did not meet expectations. The two companies went separate ways and disbanded Alfa Romeo Nissan Autoveicoli S.p.A. in 1987.
The man pictured on this pamphlet is Japanese actor and singer Masatoshi Nakamura. Nakamura has starred in several TV shows and also makes an appearance in other PULSAR-related brochures and TV commercials.
