JUNSEI'S NOTES

The Black (also named Black Limited or Black Version) trim level was given to several models in Toyota's lineup for the Japanese market. Although several names were used, they were all limited-run, top-of-the-line models, featuring a blacked-out exterior with occasional golden accents.

Production numbers were almost always below a thousand units, usually just a few hundred. One of the earliest Toyota models to receive the treatment was the 1977 Toyota Sprinter Trueno. Other models include, but are not limited to the Toyota Cresta, MR2, Sprinter Trueno and the Supra.

Today, a very limited amount of Black series Toyotas remain, and are sought-after models for both enthusiasts and collectors alike.

I like that little fast bug-like toyota. Seems perfect for urban use.

Yeah, it's a great little vehicle, I remember it being in Gran Turismo 2 where it was mislabeled as a Turbocharged model and it had a bright green color that was also mislabeled as "Jetliner Silver Metallic".

Heh, this is why one should play Forza ^^

To be fair, this was a game made in 1998 and was a huge undertaking at the time, QA testing wasn't up to modern standards back then. And I still love the game, even if it's flawed.

Though I'll have to admit, later Forza games do appeal me more because of their more varied car roster. I just hope the new Horizon game will be Japan-focused.

yeai, I understand. that was my affection speaking. Because I've played both games and I just liked forza more.
That's good idea Forza Horizon Jdm edition. Would be fun, drifting on that mountain road.

I don't know what it is but that car is awesome.

There's something that screams Exclusivity about the Black paint job with the golden striping and hubcaps. It is what made me buy this particular pamphlet in the first place. That interior fabric choice is quite... interesting. Not what I'd pick, but I don't dislike it.

This particular trim wasn't offered overseas, but the model itself was offered in the United States as well. It was also the only generation of the Starlet to be offered there, but the nameplate is quite popular in Europe.
