420 holiday

20th of April (420) - today people all around the world gather to smoke weed, hang out with friends, meet new and share the good vibes with everyone.

420, 4:20, or 4/20 (pronounced four-twenty) is a code-term in cannabis culture that refers to the consumption of cannabis, especially smoking cannabis around the time 4:20 p.m. (or 16:20 in 24-hour notation) and smoking cannabis in celebration on the date April 20 (which is 4/20 in U.S. form

There are many false theories on why 420 became a reference for weed, smoking and holiday 420 but the real one dates back to 1971 at San Rafael School in California where a group of friends also known as Waldos used '420' as a code for gathering in 16:20 (4:20) and smoking weed at the statue of chemist Louis Pasteur nearby San Rafael high school.

My 420

Sun was shining and the date said 20.4.2018. If you are a consumer of cannabis you know what that means - wake and bake! Sun rays and low sugar levels in the morning are a mix for the best high.
420 is basically like any other day if you're a consumer, but 420s essence for me is the people that never smoke but on this day the air smells different and they decide to venture on a quest of lighting a joint.

As I said 420 is for gathering people one with another. My friend called me when he woke up and before he could say anything I said come over for coffee and a joint. Music on the phone good vibes in the air and neighbors on the balconies not smoking, but it's alright, it's not for everyone - we are all unique :)

But everything is better in two!

My whole day was walking with, from and to friends all around the neighborhood. Of course, we would all smoke and talk about whatever the topic is. The judgment doesn't exist here, talk about dinosaurs or talk about fetishes, we don't care, just talk and enjoy being here with all the wonderful people. With some, I went for a drink. It was a total of 4 coffees and a lot of Johnnie Walker. I might've drunk too much coffee than I would prefer, but today is a day to enjoy and relax.
When the night fell my friend came from working on the seaside, it's was his birthday so we had to go for a strong drink, but before the drink, we had to light one up to capture the 420.

We had a great time and he invited us to his barbecue "party" - it's more hanging out with good people, barbecuing, having some beers, joints, music and awesome atmosphere. Just after I finish this post I will be on my way to his house.

The people I love spending time with are people who don't pull out their phones out and 'capture' the moment, rather living it, that is why there aren't a lot of photos in this article.

Before I went to sleep I had a realization that some people may not know the process of rolling a joint so I decided to show you how we roll joints here and then smoke it. :)

DIY joint

Things you will need:

• weed
• rizla (rolling paper)
• filter
• a cigarette (optional)

Step 1

Make a filter

Step 2

Put the filter on the left side if you are right-handed or on the right side if you are left-handed for the easiest learning, but eventually, you'll be able to roll on both sides, inverted rizlas and a lot of rolling styles, some even your own.
Put a little tobacco in the center across the rolling paper.

Step 3

Add cannabis.

Step 4

More tobacco to complete the sandwich. :D

Step 5

Hold the filter firmly and with a motion of your other hand's thumb and forefinger level the mixture to filter's height across the rolling paper whilst always keeping the rolling paper tight.

Step 6

If you have done 'Step 5' correctly you should be able to hold the whole joint by just holding it on the filter, now again pull the rolling paper a bit with both of your hands, keeping it tight whilst using both your hand's thumbs, forefingers and the middle fingers. Sliding of your thumbs across the other 2 fingers has a specific feeling and you will feel it, then you will know how to slide thumbs inward the opposite 2 fingers and 'capturing' the rizla with those 2 fingers.

Step 7

Lick the glue, complete it and test it.
