I 85% agree with this. I listened to a meditation lately where a woman talked about setting intentions instead of resolutions. In other words: try something and don't feel too bad about not sticking to it. Resolutions mainly make people feel bad when they don't keep them. It's all about the intention ( the date you start with it is secondary ).
I see what you mean. I think that what matters the most is how committed you are to actually achieving it. As long as you got that right, the approach is not as important. Huh, many factors at play, damn!
