2.4 GHz RC receiver repair
Repair of a 2.4 GHz RC receiver (HobbyKing HKR3000) for radio controlled cars.
Fault description: Receiver is unable to bind; Range is very short.
First the problem is described. We then look at the building blocks present in today's 2.4 GHz receivers. The PCB is examined to locate the fault, and a missing component is identified. With the help of a datasheet we find the type and value of the missing component. After soldering on a replacement inductor the receiver is tested and found working.
