Mt.Elgon The Embodiment Of Masaba's Founding Father
Mount Elgon , the heart between Uganda and Kenya is estimated to be 24million years old , making it the oldest extinct shield volcano in East Africa , truly a wonder justified by its green surrounding nature .
It is ranked 17th in Africa with an elevation of 4,321m (14,177ft) however its last eruption is unknown .

The Extinct Shield Volcano was anciently named (Ol Doinyo Ilgoon) a stratovolcano on the South West Margin of a Caldera that straddles the Uganda-Kenya border of the N shore of Lake Victoria . No eruptions are known in the historical record .
