drawing a coconut

Good afternoon, dear friends of this excellent community.

Today inspired by a split coconut with a lot of liquid inside, refreshing for this intense heat in my town.

Outlining with the pencil freehand and smooth the lines to be able to erase if there is any disproportion in the sketch that needs to be detailed. Then, with the colored pencils, I began to color from the lightest shade of brown to the color that this hydrating fruit naturally presents. simulating with the colors the texture of the coconut and its fringes that remains when removing the skin.

The part of the hard pulp of the coconut when it is at its point of maturity, simulate it with the H pencil, blurring the parts of the shadow and leaving the white spaces where the clarity is seen.

With the liquid eraser I was highlighting the edge of the pulp and in the center spill and blur with my finger to give a realistic optical illusion, as if it were spilling coconut water. With the marker I highlighted the edge of the shell so that it looked realistic.

The background with Horizontal line strokes and leaving a space near the drawing and do the shading and light on each side, according to the emission of light.

This drupe is very beneficial and its water is very nutritious for the organism.

At this time of Holy Week we prepare preserves, rice with coconut, ice cream and drink water to hydrate ourselves, in this region it is very hot.
