Tea is the main exporting agricultural product in Sri Lanka. There is a good market for Sri Lankan tea (Ceylon Tea) around the world. Tea estates can be seen in most parts of the country but it is considered that the upcountry tea has the best taste.
Tea estates are maintained very carefully and tea plucking is done in a proper way to keep the quality of the product. These estates are covered with mist most of the time and it creates beautiful scenery for travelers.
