Paris Saint Germain 0-1 Liverpool

This is one game I really wanted to see. PSG is actually a very good team and Liverpool apart from being a great team is also my favorite. But the game did not quite go as I expected, up to the 2 minute PSG had a ball possession of 6% plus a disallowed goal for a dubious offside.

The first credible Liverpool attack I saw wasn't until the 34 minute, Jota picked up a ball and tried to cross it to Diaz, luckily for PSG one of their defenders was able to touch it and Diaz could not get the ball comfortably. Well first half ended 0-0, Liverpool's best player so far has been Allison Becker. PSG have had an incredibly good first half, just the 68% ball possession should tell you that.

The second half started just like the first one ended with PSG having nearly complete possession of the ball, against the worst Liverpool I have seen in quite a while, again Allison was the best player. I was in reality quite content with the draw, after all, I am sure things have to be different at Anfield. Slot made a few changes, the last one Elliot for Salah.

And as many times happen in football, the first ball Elliot touched became the goal that was to win the game. A long ball to Nunez and a very nice through ball to Elliot who put it in the net, even though Donaruma did slightly touch the ball.

Now Liverpool have a three point lead and a home game to make it to the next round, despite PSG having 72% over all possession today. Did they deserve to win? Of course not, but that is football, I have seen teams I root for lose games against teams that only made one shot the whole game and that was enough to lose. Well, today I got some pay back for that. As a side note I have been making small $1.00 on football since at least three months, and I had not been able to win once. The last one was yesterday, I bet on five teams, won the first four and the last one a Croatian cup game, ended in a draw, the team I bet on went on to win in overtime.

So I decided to bet on the big teams in the UEFA champions League, Bayern, Barcelona and Liverpool. I missed betting on Inter because they were already up 2-0 by the time I decided to bet. So besides my team winning I got a small economic win too.
