Composite Photography
Composite photography combines multiple photographs and digital elements into one image. I began doing composite photography last year using Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer. I have used the industry standard, Adobe. However, I am not part of the "industry standard" and went with the less expensive downloads.
The only "rule" I gave myself for photography composting is - use only images I take, no stock photos. This can create new challenges in my personal growth in my photography, challenging me to take pictures of new things in new ways.

Hi @eliafp, I have never heard about composite photography that is a little discovery for me and I really love it. To make such creation the person should have a good fantasy and creative mind. You are one of them. I love many of the presented photographs, of course the butterfly is the TOP and a little sand castle in glass, although looks like little world caught in this glass :) I am really glad that with the engagement of @bambuka who discovered you and introduced to us, you developed yourself really good.

@drephillip Would you believe that the castle is a Dr. Susse prop at Universal Studios amusement park in Orlando Florida? A picture of a regular mason jar and a photo of a perfume widow display in downtown San Francisco. There is much-layered meaning in this collage.
Putting the three images together makes it a composite. How I put the images together makes it conceptual. You can have conceptual photography without composting just using lighting and props. You can have images with composite aspects without them being conceptual. I know that real estate photographers will add landscapes into windows and TV screens to make interiors look better to buyers (and most people do not even realize it.)

Ah I understand, I was saying this because I was looking at the compositions has "concepts" , because I usually take the word composition has the "canvas" and all the rules put together to make a work of art.
That is why when it comes to buy an estate I just prefer to see it with my own eyes, no tricks ahah
I get what you are saying about composition. I based this year's photo club competition around composition and not the subject matter. I wanted to challenge the members to look beyond the subject matter, to look at the composition more like an artist than a "photographer".
Some of the members wanted more guidance, so I wrote this presentation on how to evaluate photography on the basic principles of composition. I included the link if you are interested in reading my ramblings on photo evaluation.

I have a BS in Radiologic Technology Management but took art classes as electives and adult continuing education. I love art history, have belonged to many local art museums, was a glass bower apprentice for one of my co-workers, and have taken all kinds of dance lessons, a supporter of ballet and opera. My dad has his Masters's in Photography, so I have been taught much by him and am still learning.
I have done quite a bit of professional teaching to radiology students, so that is the carry-over you are seeing in the presentation.
Wow that's alot of background in arts and culture, it makes me happy to meet and talk to people like you because you are a big fountain of knowledge!
I have university license in graphic design and multimedia, in terms of family only have my brother in music and I wasn't really into it ( I hated piano) when I first got to music classes in school I remember my parents saying it I would just pass because I never had interest. Funny thing is besides not studying I aced the tests, it felt so natural to me and that's when I discovered I loved arts, got lvl 8 in music license, took arts on school, used to draw alot and it just kept expanding, history of arts was one of my favorite classes and majors it's so interesting to understand culture by art and how so many movements came from vanguards and how it counters the perfectionism of the renescentist era
Your self-taught & school art background shows considerably in your work and writing. You have your own style and that is so important.
I was so close to going into the graphic design program if I had not gotten into radiology tech school. I happen to find a weird niche job that is a fusion of art and science and I could make really good money.
Art and music are humanity at their best. Art and music transcend written and spoken language. I believe that is why this steemit community is so strong, creativity is universal.
