I received some food from our district's candidate for congressman

The person running for the office of Congress had sent some "relief goods" to persons with disability here in our barrio. I happen to be in the lost because I am a person with disability and a card holder of it. Thankfully our PWD leader here in our Barrio had listed me which is why I was chosen and included in the list of recipients of some of these food items.

Unfortunately these food items are not good for me because they consist of powdered milk, then some whole milk, a liter of it, some oatmeal which I do not eat, then a box of crackers. So my parents will be the ones that can consume these food items although I can too but with a very limited amount because milk had a lot of Phosphorus while the other two I seldom eat like the crackers, much more the oatmeal.

The congressman candidate also gave some other stuff, maybe financial support but only to those PWD's (Person with disabilities) that are immobile, literally cannot walk or bedbound of not wheelchair-bound. But our PWD Barrio leader saw me walking a few days ago after she went her e in the house to photograph me for her reference and documentation which is why in that regard I was not included in that special list of recipients of getting that additional support from that congressman candidate.

Well, these things happen because the election is coming and the political candidates somewhat bribe the people to vote for them. Although it is not considered a bribe to lend some help to the needy, but we are not born yesterday, we know what these support means, it is a subtle way of bribing the people especially people in vulnerable condition because of the perceived idea that they would vote whomever gives them something.

But it is just a question of who will be in the political seats, most of the time the political candidates are just the same but different people taking the seat. There is always tribalism so the voters can just either choose their tribe and reap some benefits or choose to not care and risk of not getting support when they needed it.

I choose both, I will care who to vote for so that when it is time to need some support in return, then I will get it especially in the Mayoralty seat because these people knows who voted for them or not. So since I am not getting any support from our current Mayor, I will consider the one that will support me and at least went to my home plus knows me years ago and not this current one who doesn't know that I existed but only known to her minions that I failed to vote for their Ma'am because after all I failed to vote in two consecutive elections which de-activated my voting privilege.

I already activated my voting power and even I hate to go out and pushed with my wheelchair to the polling station near my house here attracting eyes, I will just have to go and cast my vote so that at least I will have the chance to get some support if the mayor will get booted-out from office because she is just vengeful to her non-voters and her politicking had created lots resentment to many people in our town because she estranged a lot of people in the process.
