Thanks To SLC And Some Steemians, I Managed To Create A Very Minimalist (And Still Buggy) Version Of SteemWorld [EN – ID] Berkat SLC dan Bantuan Beberapa Steemian, Saya Berhasil Menciptakan SteemWorld versi Sangat Minimalis (Dan Masih Menyimpan Masalah)

The Story of The Steemit, Inc.’s Efforts to Increase Users and Traffic : The Dawn of the Steemit Challenge
I wasn't there when the management change happened at Steemit and Justin Sun and his team took over. But when I returned to Steem a few months later, I realised there were many changes happening on Steem including how Steemit, Inc. was trying to increase user numbers and traffic. In this endeavour, an initiative called Betterlife was born which includes sub-activities such as thediarygame, growyourown, actofkindness and learnwithsteem.
Not long after, in the same attempt to increase user number and traffic, Steemit, Inc. came up with the Engagement Challenge (SEC). SEC, throughout its history has undergone many format changes. From just one topic (blockchain and cryptocurrency) to many topics as we see today. Like life, Steem is constantly changing, watching developments, adapting.
I and the Steemit Challenge : Sweetness, Savour, No Drama
I am one Steemian who has benefited from the Steemit Engagement Challenge (which two seasons ago was rebranded as the Steemit Learning Challenge or SLC). If for some others, betterlife (specifically thediarygame) has become what they enjoy on Steem, then for me it is SEC (or SLC).
In the past, when the topic was still about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, I have gained quite a lot of information and knowledge about things that I, at first, had no knowledge at all. SEC helped me learn this new thing. Completing assigned tasks by searching for information on the internet and crafting it into posts on Steem has offered two benefits at once: knowledge and money.
When SEC later changed in terms of format and content, I also found comfort in some classes such as those on graphic design, health, and so on. Although I am not involved in some of the classes, I still pay attention to the classes that interest me such as cooking and fitness.
Programming Basics class by @alejos7ven (SEC Season 20) : A Spark to an Old Romance
One class that has probably become my most favourite class was the Programming Basics class run by @alejos7ven in the SEC Season 20. There are several reasons that make this my favourite class in the history of Steemit Challenge to date, among them:
- The most basic thing is because I've been interested in programming and coding for a long time, since many years ago when I had the experience of reading magazines on the topic, but no formal education, long before the internet existed. So, it's been a long-standing passion.
- The second thing is because @alejos7ven ran the class very basic and in a really fun way. He managed to convey things that should be complicated in a simple, fun, and easy to understand way.
- The next thing is that @alejos7ven was always able to help. Even after a few months later when I contacted him via Discord to ask him to re-explain some things from his lecture from previous seasons, he has patiently explained them, showing me what to do.

Latest Developments: A Minimalist Version of SteemWorld That Has Its Bug
I have also asked for opinions from @steemchiller on how to get info from Steem. And he has suggested SDS. I spent quite a lot of time studying this.
In a class, @alejos7ven once said, roughly, that programming enthusiasts should look at and study codes built by others and experiment with them.
In addition, @hardphotographer has also given me additional knowledge about SDS built by @steemchiller, in addition to, of course, api.steemit.com. Thanks, Sergey.
I found all of this information is so exciting. So I have utilised it in such a way and produced a web application that is able to display certain data from Steem users. For example, data from @steemcurator01 and @steemcurator02, as shown in the following image.
They (sc01 and sc02) have so much power, but they don't show their faces, reminding me of those masked characters from comics.
In the case of a unavailable username, the following result will appear.
It's very simple, but I'm very happy with this. Development can still be done, time will tell. Oh, and, here is my data that I generated using the web app.
Hey @saintkelvin17, Happy 3rd Steem birthday (sorry for being 4 days late). I believe @wakeupkitty still have those chocolate.
Yeah! There you have it. Bottom line, this Programming Basic class has been really useful to me. Thank you for reading.

Perkembangan Terbaru : Sebuah SteemWorld Versi Minimalis Yang Masih Menyimpan Masalah

Welcome to the developer club. This is just the beginning. I'm sure. We all started somewhere. Good luck in your endeavors.
🐭 The more I try, the more and more interesting it becomes.
This is the best attitude to win!🚀🚀🚀
Congratulations, my friend.
I'm delighted with your success and your eagerness to apply what you've learned.
A small step (in your opinion), but that's how you begin to move forward, and I think you're clear about your destiny.
After doing this, my curiosity about this topic only increased. I hope I can find time to learn more about it, especially sds and Steemit API. I will definitely read again alejos7ven 's course posts from the past seasons.
Thank you.
Amazing, bro! Congratulations, you did a great job. I hope we will soon see great development for Steemit from your side.
No doubt, SDS is a good site where we can get all the important APIs for fetching data for our web. I am also working on a web project by using it. It will be very helpful for our steemians. Soon, I will officially announce it on Steemit after some testing.
Well, if you collaborate with another developer, it may be very helpful for you to grow faster in this field.
I hope everything goes well with your project, my friend. Looking forward to seeing it.
Ah, yes. The success rate for solving potential problems will be higher. And in fact, I was also not alone in completing this project, as I have written that several people contributed, not directly to the project but they showed me where to look and what needed to be done. Without them, this project would never have existed.
Thank you, my friend.
Good job my friend! You are learning so fast, that’s amazing!
It looks good, despite of being a basic version
Maybe I can give you space on my server to install a public beta of it so everyone can use it and you can update it little by little to make it bigger!
If you like the idea feel free to reach me,
Thank you for this very interesting offer, alejos7ven. But is it likely to be useful? I mean, there are many Steem tools that are more advanced than this. Maybe if I come up with an idea that I find more interesting, I'll contact you about it.
Thanks again. I do appreciate it.
