Today in Music (September 19th)

in #music7 years ago

What interesting new songs or albums were released or were topping the charts on September the 19th in the history of music? What has happened on this day in the music universe? I apologize in advance that my view is quite narrow since I only know and follow western music.

In 1988 The Erasure single “A Little Respect” is released.

And now for something very different…

In 1975 Eric Clapton got a gold record for “I Shot The Sheriff”.

And now for something very different yet again…

In 1970 Ray Price had No. 1 Billboard country single with "For The Good Times" which was written by Kris Kristofferson.

Here he is live in 1978.

Are these picks eclectic enough for you? Or maybe I don’t understand the meaning of the word ‘eclectic’? :)

Please remember that these artists and songs are my personal choices and are not always what you would consider a great hit. OK, most of the time they are.
