Translating CONSUL Project | English-Turkish #2
Repository
Project Details
What is Consul?
CONSUL is a Citizen Participation and Open Government Application, originally developed for the Madrid City government.
Consul is an open software platform so any institution can use and modify it as they see fit, for free.
There will be local elections in my country in the near future, so I was interested with this project and I wanted to translate it. It's an amazing project for me. Who knows? Maybe in a short time my country will also use this application in the local municipalities.
Contribution Specifications
- Translation Overview
This is my second contribution to the Consul project and actually I am happy to translate such an efficient project.
This part was a little bit easy for me. Because there were not many untranslatable words in this part.
There were one word and it was a little bit hard for me. "Geozone". It's a short term but there is no short term for this word in my language.
Well, I could not translate it with short way and i mentioned original one in parenthetical.
Please check my important note from the Part#1
I did not translate the word "banner" to Turkish. Because this word is also used in Turkish with same meanings.
- Languages
Source Language: English
Target Language: Turkish
- Word Count
Translated words: 1314
Total words (duplicate strings and static text excluded): 1298
Target language words: 1144
I translated 1624 words for the first part.
1624 + 1298 = 2922
Part1 + Part2 = 2922
Thank you for your contribution @mugurcagdas.
You have translated this part really great! I really appreciate your work!
I found only one error in your translation work,
You have translated the word "enable" as "etkinleştirildi", this is a mistake, you were needing translate it as "etkinleştir". It is not a very important error, but it may mislead users and I think you did this by mistake.
I hope you will be more careful next time.
I am looking forward to the next translation contributions from you.
Keep up the good work!
