Utopian should not accept PSD files or non free file formats
Today I read in shock that utopian.io is accepting and even promoting photoshop proprietary PSD file format. That is a major red flag for me.
I also read they are looking for moderators
We the Free/Libre Open Source community should be promoting only http://www.linfo.org/free_file_format.html free file formats. We should accept contributions only in file formats that allow for error free editing of the file with free software.
I am willing to help utopian.io on moderating on this topic and helping guide or influence policy on this important topic. I would also suggest that we involve other people in the Free/Libre Open Source world as a advisor board to help review.
See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Forbidden_items?rd=ForbiddenItems for some other forbidden items from fedora.

Your contribution cannot be approved because it does not follow the Utopian Rules.
While this is an interesting thought, it doesn't qualify as a blog post on Utopian. Your post is more a suggestion. However, for that category it is required to address only the technical aspects of a project. So I'm afraid I have to reject your contribution, but I'm sure your proposal won't be forgotten. Promoting only free software is definitely something we should think about.
