Today is a day full of togetherness and concern for the residents of my village, Gampong Blang, where we together carry out mutual cooperation to clean the public cemetery. This activity is carried out as a form of respect for the ancestors and to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the cemetery area which has been poorly maintained.

Since morning, residents began arriving at the location carrying various tools such as hoes, sickles, machetes and other necessities. The cemetery that was previously filled with tall bushes, wild grass and dry leaves looked like a small forest. Therefore, this work was quite heavy, but the spirit of mutual cooperation made everything feel lighter.

We divided the tasks to make the work more efficient. Some residents were tasked with cutting grass and wild bushes, while others cleared leaves, cleaned gravestones and collected scattered trash. Some also helped burn piles of trash so as not to disturb the surrounding area.

In between these activities we also joked and chatted with each other, creating a warm and togetherness atmosphere. This mutual cooperation is not just about cleaning the cemetery, but also strengthening the ties of friendship between local residents. Many parents gave encouragement to the young people who participated, reminding them how important it is to maintain the cleanliness of this final resting place.

After several hours of hard work, the results began to appear. The cemetery that once looked like a small forest was now clean and tidy. The path that was previously covered by grass was now clearly visible again, so that pilgrims could walk comfortably when visiting to pray for their deceased family.

In closing, we held a joint prayer, led by a local religious figure. We prayed that the grave experts would get the best place in the sight of Allah SWT, and asked for blessings and health for all residents who had participated in this activity. This moment is a reminder that in addition to maintaining physical cleanliness, we must also always pray for those who have gone before us.

After praying together, the residents sat down for a moment to rest, enjoying drinks and snacks that had been prepared by several mothers. Although our bodies felt tired, there was a sense of satisfaction and pride because we had done something beneficial for the village and the community.

This mutual cooperation activity is expected to be the beginning of greater concern for the environment, especially in maintaining the cleanliness of public cemeteries. Hopefully activities like this will continue and become a tradition that is passed down to the next generation. We went home with a feeling of relief and happiness, because today we have done something valuable together for the village and our ancestors.
